A child’s needs do not fit into a single category. Safety, learning, health and relationships are connected. Our programmes reflect that.

Starting with safety and everyday needs
Street outreach builds relationships with vulnerable and street-connected children in Kampala. Listening and assessing immediate needs help identify appropriate pathways to protection, healthcare and education.
Safe shelter and support, where appropriate and legally authorised, sit alongside help with food, clothing and essential supplies. Support is shaped by each child’s circumstances and best interests.
Making space for learning and growth
Education support helps children access and remain engaged in learning through school placement, materials, tutoring and educational mentoring. Health and psychosocial support connect children with appropriate care and emotional support.
Mentorship gives young people opportunities to develop confidence and positive relationships with responsible adults. Vocational and life-skills support helps older young people prepare for adulthood.
Strengthening safe connections
Family strengthening addresses circumstances contributing to vulnerability, with assessments, parenting support, mediation and referrals. Reintegration is considered only where safe and in the child’s best interests.
One approach, individual journeys
Listen. Protect. Support. Empower. Transform. These principles connect our work while recognising that every child has a different experience, voice and aspiration.
We describe outcomes as aims until verified evidence is available, and protect children’s privacy in the stories we share.
